[Elecraft] Advantages of Factory Assembed & Tested K-3 vs. a Kit?

I think the K3 goes together much better then a PC. I built my K3 a week ago and I am still in awe of the precision of engineering that went into that K3 kit. Parts went together smoothly just as if they were designed to do that -- of course, which they are but the fit was perfect.

There is only one little wish and that is I wish for slightly smaller fingers for just one or two steps in the K3 kit building process. Now, this was really not a problem but it was a bit tight but still what I would call easy. I mean, no sweat on my brow for this job at all.

Alignment? What alignment? I used the K3 Utility program -- your alignment steps consist of hitting a few buttons on the K3 Utility screen! Simple as 3.14159+. And, it is probably just as simple to do it from the screen but a little more time consuming.
