[Elecraft] 2.7 vs. 2.8 vs. 1.8 & 2.1

Fred,

That is more information than I got from the Archive, so thank you! It
confirms my need to add the 1.8 8 pole. I have my K3 in for updating so
can't fiddle with it... I don't recall that one can remember the settings
for each filter and the bandwidth, so do you handle that via macro?

I have 5 of the 8-pole filters: 2.8, 2.1, 1.8, 400 & 250. As the bands get
more crowded (I.e. contest) I just tighten down the bandwidth. Of course a
wider BW sounds better (especially to these old ears) but sometimes you do
what you got to do. Except for the 2.8, I set the BW a little higher: I.e.
2.1 is set for 2.4; 1.8 is set for 2.1; 400 is set for 500; and the 250 is
set for 300. All these filters give me the "wiggle room" and the "brick
wall" as needed.
