[Elecraft] K3 Utility problem

SetupComm is used to set the size of the serial port receive and transmit
buffers. The K3 Utility is setting them to constant values, 4096 bytes
each.

This command is interpreted by the serial port's device driver.

Would you check that you have up-to-date device drivers for the device
you're using?

If it's the Elecraft KUSB, there is a link to the chip vendor's web site in
K3 Utility Help, Troubleshooting, USB to Serial Adapter Troubleshooting.

The most recent set of drivers for the Elecraft KUSB are the PL-2303 drivers
dated 12/2/2009. They're the 2nd item on this web page:

I'm using this driver installer for my XP system and my Windows 7 64-bit
system and I test every K3 Utility version with them.

Subject: [Elecraft] K3 Utility problem

I decided to check for new firmware and the K3 Utility gives me an error
when I select the COM port [COM4] connected to the radio:

SetupComm failed on 'COM4'
Error=87: The parameter is incorrect

This worked fine the last time I used it maybe two months ago. I know
the CAT line to the computer is working OK because N1MM gets the radio
frequency and knows the radio is there.

Any help?
