Yes, the Kenwood adapter works. Alternatively, you can just plug
directly into the 1/8" jacks on the back of the K3, although
admittedly the cord on the PSQP is a bit short for that.

It wouldn't take a whole lot of effort to modify the Icom adapter -
just have to rearrange the wiring inside the 8-pin plug a bit.
