You can do that in Windows as well. Just copy
ftp://ftp.elecraft.com/K3/firmware/beta and paste it into the Address field
of Windows Explorer (or just type it in) and press Enter. You should now see
two files, hfwnotes.rtf and the latest firmware zip file, which are on the
Elecraft server. Click Favorites, Add to Favorites and give it a name like
"Elecraft Firmware". Now if you double click on the firmware zip file it
opens in a new window and you can drag and drop the contents to the firmware
utility upload folder.

Whenever you want to download new firmware, just click Favorites, Elecraft
Firmware. Easy.
