[Elecraft] voice heard on ext speaker using monitor

While using the monitor feature to listen to my audio, I had my head phones on in transmit. The ext speaker doesn't cut out during transmit. This only seems to happen when using monitor and an external speaker. Has anyone had this problem??? I have also heard 2 birdies on 20 meters anf 1 on 40 meters. I know I tightened all the screws during assembly for good grounds,but could have missed one???? Thanks , Wade w7ute
