On my previous rig, it had ( like the K2 ) a way the user could turn off
XMIT.
When answering a CQ I like to adjust my keyer speed to approximate the
sender's pace at the same time I zero beat.

I would turn the XMIT off and then send a series of dits while adjusting
the keyer.
Then turn the XMIT back on, and answer the call.

I never did get a chance to verify it, but there were more than a few
times when I got the impression from the other station that he could
hear me with the XMIT off.

I wonder if its true what they say........

A real good QRP'r can hear your thoughts!!!!  ;^D
