[Elecraft] Utility of 1.8-KHz vs 2.1-KHz Filter for SSB?

Hi,
I just use the HI-CUT knob to crank down the bandwidth until the QRM
disappears and this will automatically select the 1.8kHz if appropriate. I
don't hear a dramatic improvement once the 1.8 kicks in so I don't know if
it was worth the money. I never use the XFIL button for anything. I prefer
to think of the radio as having (almost) continuously variable passband
tuning and let the radio choose the correct filter.
