When you say *stand-alone* I take it you mean *without a pc* ie stands on 
its own with only one cable:  to the radio.  The screen might also be 
integral.

I think Clifton Labs did one of those and I think I've seen a couple of 
other makes, but not just for the K3.

It would seem there would be demand for a stand-alone panadaptor for the K3,
I would buy one (kit or assembled).
There must be some enterprising person out there.
