I don't know if this would meet your expectations, but check out the 
panadaptor now available from Telepost.  www.telepostinc.com.

I saw it in action in Dayton, and I think it is pretty interesting.

It would seem there would be demand for a stand-alone panadaptor for the K3,
I would buy one (kit or assembled).
There must be some enterprising person out there.
