[Elecraft] re using Kenwood SM-220 panadapter with K3

    Has anyone been sucessful in using the Kenwood SM-220 as a band scope looking at the IF of the K3? The IF's of the kenwood radio or the K3 are very close with only about 600 khz difference so it's a simple matter to tweek the oscillator trimmer in the SM-220 to adjust that. However, I get a lot of interaction between the SM-220 and the K3. I've also tried using a 10 db attenuator pad but still get erratic results.
