[Elecraft] KX1: 40M problem

I'm having a problem on 40M with the KX1 and testing anomalies. The 
SWR meter is Diamond SX200 and the Analyzer is an MJF 259B. Signal 
generator is an XG2. The antenna is a home made portable dipole with 
a coil, as described in the Antenna Book, 21st Edition, Chapter 15, 
page 4. The ATU has been removed. Here are the test results:

(1)
         f(Mhz)  swr meter       259b
         7.030   10+             1.3
         10.1    1.5             1.2
         14.06   1               1.1

(2) SWR 1.0 w/50 ohm dummy on all frequencies

(3) Audible tone w/1uV input at 10.01 and 14.060 but no tone at 
7.030. There is an audible tone on 7.030 w/50uV input.

I'm confused. Any ideas?
