[Elecraft] K3 delivery require signature?

My thoughts, for something the price of the K1, KX1, or basic K2 shipment
without signature on delivery can be acceptable. For anything more valuable
than a fully equipped K2, if ordered at the same time and shipped as one
package, then a signature could protect both the buyer and the seller. The
buyer, the customer, would have to show that the item was (or was not)
delivered and the lack of delivery receipt could help. For the seller, a
signed delivery receipt could prove that someone at the intended address did
receive the item ordered. Perhaps for something as valuable as the K3 a
signature on delivery with proof of identity (DL or government ID
preferred).
One company that I have ordered from in the past, not really radio related
but another hobby, has a policy that if the total price of the order is over
$200.00 USD then a signature will be required on delivery. This company
normally uses USPS for domestic orders and can allow the customer to decide
which carrier to use for foreign orders.
Again, just thoughts.
