Good Evening,
The sun set a few minutes ago and the moon is starting to light things up. I am glad I brought in another load of wood this afternoon. It appears I'll have enough wood in the shed for another week. Then I'll be burning the wood I cut last fall which is stacked behind the house. If all goes well I will get through March without needing any more. The snow cover will be gone by then so I can cut wood from the windrows of downed trees.
Twenty meters was good to me this week eliciting a few contacts when I had time to get on my radio. Currently the bands are jam packed. I did hear the folks from Ducie Island but could not work them with my K2 since it does not have a microphone. I could not find them on CW at that time. I probably could have used another rig and worked them SSB but what fun is that? I'll wait for the sunspot peak to try voice again :)
I have not looked but think the CW DX contest will be done by net time tomorrow so I do not need to worry about it. Since it has never interfered with ECN before I'll just assume it won't do so again. Our local ham fest is early this year and the air show is late. Seems like there were some scheduling conflicts which forced both events to move. Late May on the coast of Oregon? I'll take a sweater and my rain coat. I know it will neither be warm nor dry!

Please join us tomorrow evening.
