You don't have to worry about import and support on the SPE Expert, it is 
taken care of by Bill at B&B Tech http://www.spe-na.com/

Bill offers excellent support, so I wouldn't think twice. Note also that I 
get significantly more than 1KW out on mine, even more than 1300 watts.
