[Elecraft] k3 matching filters

I just completed the same installation Bill. I bought an additional 500 Hz filter and paid to match two filters. They both matched exactly to my original filters. My installation went pretty well. My DVR seems to work, but I have not been able to find any instructions for operating. Maybe we are supposed to experiment and find out. I installed the DVR first then the KRX-3. I was surprised to learn that the SO239 and the BNC connectors cannot both be connected at one time. There is only one input to the receiver. (Maybe everyone else knew it, but I didn't). My KRX-3 kit said to install the second DSP board with one nylon and two steel screws. The DVR kit gave me two more nylon screws with instructions to replace the steel screws in the DSP so I used the nylon screws. It looks like very small clearance for the screw heads so apparently some people have had shorts.

Good luck with your installation. The second receiver is interesting. I plugged in some surplus Labtec computer speakers which seem to work well except that their plug is a little too small for the K3 jack. I remember some posts about that several months ago. I need to dig them out and see what kind of plugs I need to buy for replacement.
