That's basically how I operated this past weekend. But I think I
realized that I was missing something. Those in the know can correct
me. It has to do with the blinking second decimal point, which
confused me. At times, I saw A blink, B blink, and A and B blink. I
believe that there are two methods to achieve diversity. First is
the way that Mike described and that I generally did over the
weekend. You enable the SUB by pressing SUB. You press RX ANT to
get AUX. Then you tap A>B twice to get both the receivers to be the
same frequency and filter settings. Then you press and hold SUB for
a second to link. In this case, I believe the second decimal in VFO
B will blink, indicating LINK. However, there is another method for
achieving diversity. If you press and hold SUB for two seconds,
first you will see LINK and then DIVRSTY. I believe in this case,
the second decimal in VFO A will blink and the settings indicated on
VFO A will control both receivers and set the sub antenna to
AUX. This allows you to use VFO B for SPLIT or a temp register. Is
this interpretation correct???
