Right now I have 2 AEA PK-232MBX in service with two
software-controlled Ten-Tec MF/HF receivers for receiving
SITOR ("commercial AMTOR") USCG marine safety broadcasts and
general monitoring of HF Marine Public Coast stations - yes,
there are still some on the air in the US offering Morse,
RTTY, and SITOR service to high-seas vessels. Both PK232MBXs
will do Pactor I, and I do have the software for it. To use
this with the K2 would require setting up a complex RS-232
switching arrangement to switch the K2 from the RigBlaster to
the TNC and the TNC from the Ten-Tec receiver to the K2 -
do-able because I do have the cross-over switch - but not
exactly what I am looking for.
Oh yes - this is in addition to the two PK-88s that handle my
VHF packet and APRS transceivers and the soon-to-be-added
9600 baud TNC for UHF packet.
