[Elecraft] KAT100 Question on SWR/Operation

The KAT100 does not have a relay to bypass the LC circuits. So, with  
an existing match, it still needs to tune out its own impedances in  
order to operate properly. If you know that the antenna is already  
matched, you should tune the KAT100 into a dummy load, then use the  
settings it works out with the matched antenna(s).

In newer tuners (T1 for example) and additional relay has been added  
to bypass the LC circuits so that if the tuner sees a low SWR to  
start off it will stop the tune procedure and go with the bypass  
condition.
