549 from Portugal, on 40m, with 5 watts from London, and an indoor 
dipole.  I'm still trying to work out the best antenna arrangement
given that I can't have an external one, and I could do with being
able to read morse a bit faster.

I think I wasted some time trying to get out on 80m using a 4:1 BL-1, as 
the antenna is roughly resonant for 40m and my estimation is that BL-1 
doesn't have enough reactance, especially at low frequencies, to cope 
with a reactive antenna, even if the KAT-2 can correct for it.  I'm 
trying to avoid putting power into the mains earth, with the consequent 
increased risk of interference, which is why I have the BL-1 in circuit.
