Bill,
I believe folks are worrying too much about a 'true earth ground' when
considering ESD - it is actually only necessary that everything at the
workspace (including the worker) is at the same potential - it matters
not whether that potential is at Mother Earth Ground potential or
hundreds of volts above it.
So pick a common point (and the travel trailer wiring ground lug should
be good), and connect your wrist strap and anti-static mat cords to
that, and plug your anti-static soldering station into the same outlet.
If there is a fault in the grounding of that electrical post, it can
pose a hazard for you or your family or pets when you touch the trailer
and Mother Earth Ground at the same time, but that is a different story
altogether - it has nothing to do with ESD protection inside an isolated
structure such as a travel trailer.
