I've created an IRC channel for K3 folks....one of the plusses is that you 
don't need an IRC client to access it.  There's a web based access at

http://www.zerobeat.net/qrp/k3chat.html

if you do have an irc client, you can reach the channel at

irc.icq.com - /join #k3

There is also a QRP Chat at
http://www.zerobeat.net/qrp/qrpchat.html

If you have an IRC client, that one can be reached at
irc.icq.com - /join #qrp

IRC is a lot like the bands...if no one is logged on, there is no activity. 
Unlike radio, if someone is there, you'll see them.
