Thanks again Don. The resistor and Icom pinout seems to be working fine.

BTW, I have tried to talk with Heil, but my emails have gone unanswered and 
thought maybe someone else on the list had already done this. Since that 
doesn't seem to be the case, I've now done it successfully and maybe can 
help someone else if this question comes up again. This list is 
invaluable.......great, accurate technical knowledge at the level desired!
