When you activate RIT there is an RIT icon in between the VFO A and VFO
B displays that becomes visible.

The VFO A display (assuming you are receiving on VFO A) shows the new
operating frequency. The B display shows the amount of offset. After a
couple of seconds of no further RIT know turning, the B display reverts
to whatever it was displaying before you turned the RIT knob.

If you subsequently turn the RIT knob, the B display agins shows the
amount of offset until a second or two after you stop turning it.

No, just reminders that you are both enabled and offset.
