[Elecraft] Going digital with K2?

While the topic is on HRD, I wouldlike to voice a question I have got on my
mind for a long time:

I have been thinking of going into digital modes, especially RTTY and
PSK31. I have got no experience in ANY digital mode so far and I have been
a Mac only person all these years. Deciding to go into the digital field, I
had to buy a WinTel laptop in the end, since the Mac SW I could find to
work on my historical Macs (newest of which is a G3/300 beige running 8.6)
were practically useless.

Anyway, I did some research on freeware/shareware software available for
WinTels that would also do logging for me. The initial list I came up with
consisted of
Omni-Rig,
XMLog,
WinLog32,
CT,
N1MM,
HRD,
KC4ELO,
EI5DI,
UCXLog,
MM-Hamsoft and
MixW.

Going through their websites for their specifications I decided to chose
either N1MM or HRD. Both seem to do PSK31 and logging without an external
TNC. Both seem to do RTTY via MM-HamSoft's MMTTY Engine. Both seem to be
able to control K2s. However, I would love to hear some first hand
experience on the pros and cons of either (or any other SW that you would
suggest).
