Jeff,

Do NOT use a standard serial cable - you risk damage to your K2.  Only 3
RS-232 lines are to be connected to the K2 - TXD, RXD and signal ground.

That being said, look in your KPA100 manual and construct the computer
connection cable described there in Figure 41 on page 55.  the K2 end
connects to the AUX IO connector on the back of your KPA100 and of course
the other end connects to a serial port.
