There are some blue resistors that sometimes need an ohmmeter
check to verify their values. Seems the color bands on a
blue background can sometimes be hard to read. I checked every
one as I went to be sure I had the correct value.
It is most useful during debug, as you guessed.
Good luck and 73

Subject: [Elecraft] How much is the DMM used during K2 build?
Hey guys, here's the next (of many) questions.
How heavily used is the DMM during K2 building? I just finished my
first two mini-modules and used the DMM only a little - for resistance
checks. I've scanned through the K2 manual and it looks like a DMM is
used here & there for resistance checks and then for some VDC checks
during alignment. Is that about right?
I suppose it will get used more during debug if there are issues.
I believe tomorrow is the day I start the K2 building process. The
static mat is all ready to go, static strap is ready, magnifying lamp is
in place, solder & WTCPT, tools - yep, it's all there.
Fun fun fun!
