[Elecraft] How much is the DMM used during K2 build?

Keith KD1E asked:

How heavily used is the DMM during K2 building? I just finished my first
two mini-modules and used the DMM only a little - for resistance checks.
I've scanned through the K2 manual and it looks like a DMM is used here &
there for resistance checks and then for some VDC checks during alignment.
Is that about right?

I suppose it will get used more during debug if there are issues.

I believe tomorrow is the day I start the K2 building process. The static
mat is all ready to go, static strap is ready, magnifying lamp is in place,
solder & WTCPT, tools - yep, it's all there.

Those occasional voltage and resistance checks are critical for a
successfully-built K2, Keith. Otherwise you are building "blind" and can't
tell if you've made a mistake until the whole build is finished, and then
the problem could be in any of a hundred (or more) places.

A secondary use that a great many builders rely on (including myself at
times) is to confirm the value of a capacitor or resistor with unusual or
blurry markings. It's great to have a DMM with capacitance testing
capabilities. So, if you are buying one, be sure to include the capacitance
measuring capability.

Like a fire extinguisher, you may not use your DMM every moment, but when
it's needed...
