Chasis connectors 1342 or 1343 are what I use.  This can be connected thru a
hole in your center insulator such as a piece of plexiglass or a PVC
fitting.

Radio Shack has it as 278-105.

Why don't you make the dipole 66 feet long (40 meters)?  With a center pole
you can use it as an inverted vee.

I am wondering if there is such a BNC connector that you can use for a
center conductor on a dipole.  I have a 50ft length of RG8X that has BNC
connectors on either end. Of course i could cut one connector off and just
solder the coax to the antenna but before i do that thought I would check.

What I am trying to do is make up a 44' Dipole and feed it with coax for
portable work when I go to a park, etc.
