[Elecraft] Transverting Problems

Hi All,
I have discovered a problem today that has me a little puzzled. I use
my K2 primarily transverting to 6m with a homebrew transverter from 28
MHz. I decided to have a play with Julian G4ILO's K2net software to
remotely control the K2 over the wireless network in the house. After
successfully controlling the K2 through the KIO2 port on rx I tried to
transmit on CW from the PC keyboard. The K2 gave every indication of
transmitting on 6m but no RF was radiated (I checked on a monitor rx).

At first I thought this may be something to do with my settings of the
K2net software, but I subsequently found that the radio works perfectly
fine when I key it on any of the bands from 1.8 to 28MHz, the problem
only occurs when I select the transverter.

Essentially, if I disconnect the PC entirely and try to key up on 6m
without anything connected to the KIO2 port then no rf is radiated
although the K2 gives every indication that it is working. When I
connect my amplifier to the KIO2 port, which is used to key the amp
relay, then it work fine and radiates a signal.

Presumably there is a link on the KIO2 port which enables TX when
transverting. I know I ought to know what this and will probably kick
myself when I find the answer, but I can't find any reference to it; can
anyone help please?

Thanks,
Trev G3ZYY
