Russ,
Yes, you can use the Rev E manual to build your K2, but ...
I recommend that you build it just like a brand new (current)K2. That means
you will need to order the PLL Temprature Stability parts and the Keying
Waveshape change parts, 2 1N4148 diodes, and possibly new firmware - check
your firmware level, it the KIOC is version 1.09 and the MCU is version 2.04
you have the latest already.
Download Rev F manual and build according to that manual and you will have a
K2 that is current ship level. You may have to make one cut on the RF board
at U4 pin 16 to properly install RFC15 - check the A to B instructions page
5 figure 2 to show you where to make this cut. (That is true whether you use
the Rev E or Rev F manual).
If you chose not to upgrade the firmware, you can still install everything
except the Keying Waveshape change - in that case, you would build the
Control Board according to the Rev E manual that you have and everything
else can be built as instructed in the Rev F manual.
