[Elecraft] KNB2 (or any NB) performance

From sitting at my desk with 2 K2/100's and an IC-746 .... and an
IC-706MKiiG in the truck .....
It seems that noise blankers in general .....
     Work sometimes
     Don't work sometimes
     degrade signal quality sometimes
     don't degrade signal quality sometimes
Coupled with (or without) a combination of pre-amps, attenuators, DSP
noise reduction and / or the DSP filters ...... You could even add one
of those noise reduction boxes that use a sense antenna.
You might get rid of the noise. Or .... you might not!

The KNB2 works real well for a $40 noise blanker. How many would be
willing to pay several hundred dollars for the noise blanker that I'd
bet Wayne could have designed?

But it's just like paddles, cars, wives and cold drinks ..... one
size/type/model doesn't fit all. I could say "use what works", but that
may not be politically correct in this case - so I didn't!

If God intended you to be on single sideband, he would
have given you only one nostril.
