[Elecraft] K2/100 whats the min power and what current drain?

Yes, the birdie-generator (oops, bias oscillator) which provides high 
voltage for the diode T/R switch and -12v for the RS232 port must run 
even if the KPA100 is inactive.  It gets its power through the 12CTRL 
line which is in the ribbon cable.
