Actually, everything went very smoothly, no problems at all. Radio powered up right away. First time connected to an antenna, I sent a series of V's and my call and someone answered right back!

I have only owned one autotuner (IC756Pro) so I am not familiar with their speed or usual sounds.

I have an HP power meter available, although I don't know if the sensor is calibrated that low in frequency. I am running the KX1 through a Drake MN2700 (tuner bypassed)> In the SET SWR position of the wattmeter with max sensitivity, the KX1 is deflecting the meter about 60 to 70%. I will attempt to make a reading on the HP. Other wattmeters that I have, Birds, do not read HF QRP levels very accurately.
