[Elecraft] latching relay question

Hi

You must reverse the polarity on the relay coil to switch from state one to state two and reverse polarity again to go back to state one. The relay will stay in the last state when the power is removed. The relays Elecraft uses in the K2 are double pole double throw. The coil is pins 1 and 10 the swinger is pins 3 and 8 and the contacts are 2,4 and 7,9 all of the pins are used.

  Subject: [Elecraft] latching relay question

If I put 5v across one of the Omron Latching relays at pins 3 and 8 out of circuit that should make it switch right?
I did but nothing happened even tried with 6V. Currently across pins 2and3 and 8and9.

WT5Y Also what are pins 1 5 6 and 10 used for, their not in the schematic. Nor do they seem to be connected internally to anything using the meter. I just got some new and was trying em out before I put them in.
