[Elecraft] Buying K2

I am very much considering buying a K2 to go along with my KX1. I have a couple of questions that I would like input on (I know that the answers will be quite personal).

First, what are the recommendations for a basic K2 that will be used on CW and SSB?

Second, what is the quality of the audio on the K2? Currently I have a TenTec Argonaut V that has very good audio. Would the K2 be as good?
