A friend of mine had problems with opossums killing an eating her
chickens. At first she used the 12 guage pump but that got to be time
consuming. So, being the daughter of an electrician, she rigged a wire
around the chicken coop. Once the chickens were safely inside she threw
the switch. Later that evening she would clear the bodies after she heard
the breaker snap in the house and reset it. 220 VAC does wonders to
chicken killing 'possums :) She was happy and her chickens were safe. I
do not recommend this for the problem in Baltimore but rather for the koi
eating raccoon in S. Oregon. Coon do taste pretty good by the way :)
