Years ago we started using very low impedance batteries in process control
computers. Thankfully, before that happened to anyone, we established a
rule of no jewelry whatever in the shop. Before we put these things into
production the chief designer vaporized a screwdriver. The potential for
high current is something we sometimes overlook in our QRP gear, but
batteries can often deliver astonishing current for short periods of time.
