accidentally getting his gold wedding band between a low-voltage bus  and
ground<

This has happened a lot to auto mechanics working blind behind the
instrument panel of an automobile...I saw a guy get a real bad burn when
his wedding band got welded to the back of the ignition switch...He
reached in there to try to change a burned out bulb...He almost tore his
finger off yanking it loose...
