[Elecraft] DSP2 Question

I notice that with the default settings on the DSP2, as I tune across a loud
SSB signal I hear little tones or clicks each time the display increments by
whatever step I have the VFO set to.

Is this normal? If not, is this something unrelated to the DSP? do I need
re-initialize the settings (CAL VFO, BFO)? I also noticed that my K2 was way
too close to my Astron 7A supply (distorted audio, similar issue found in
Ten Tec rigs)...  is this related to that (should I move the K2 further
away)?
