[Elecraft] Kit Question

Sorry for the "Off Topic Enquiry"....but just thought I'd ask about
something regarding the next "kit" to be put together here in the "shack"
after I finish my "K2"....

I have here,....2 un-built "Epiphyte 3" transceiver kits.....the ones
created by Derry Spittle VE7QK...and sold a few years back by the "G-QRP
Club"....  After receiving the kits,...I heard that another "ham" had
designed a "Digital Display" unit specifically for these radio's...I think
his call is either KM1G...or...K1MG...can't recall precisley at the
moment....

I was wondering, ...if....any of you out there, have constructed one of
these kits... there is...I think a total of 3 "versions"... starting with
the first, which was modified by various guys to suite their and everyone
elses desires....then the 2nd came along,.. I think, with some "mods"
included and tidied up....lastly there was the "Epiphyte 3" run of the
transceivers...and this (I think) is where the devise of the "digital
display" was born....

I HAVE already ..one complete digital display unit,...(not sure if its
working) ...of the very design by the "ham" who's call(s) are mentioned
above....this I hope will go into atleast one of the transceivers when put
together...

What I need to know...(if someone can explain that is..!)...

IS..! There another "digital display" unit out there, in "kit" form, that
will suffice in everyway as the one I have here already does, to be
constructed and then included in the 2nd "Epiphyte 3" kit I have here..?? as
I am "technically" one short..

I have looked at various models....one in particular that come from (I
think) Marshall Emm of Milestone Technologies... where I could construct his
unit as a "stand alone" unit being able to plug directly into a "feed" from
the transceiver...BUT..! ended up not likeing that idea...

I am afraid the "understanding" of the technologie(s) of what I "need" in a
digital display unit to make it compatible with the Epiphyte 3 ....is ...a
little beyond my understanding at the moment..

Would be VERY greatful if y'all could throw in your "dime" worth...with some
suggestions on this....
