Most likely it is phase noise.  It should decrease in amplitude by about 6
dB if you double the frequency separating the transmitter and receiver.
With your experiment, you can not tell if the phase noise is being generated
in the K2 or the FT-1000MP.

There is nothing you can do about it.  It is transmitted when you use your
transmitter.  It is added to any received signal by your receiver.
