Hi John,
> I have a F Generator with a 50 Ohm output and a Scope(TEK 2215A) with =
a 1M Ohm input.
If I really want to see undistorted output from a 50 ohm generator, I =
use 50 Ohm coax,
and, if the scope doesn't have a switch setting for 50 ohm input, I put =
a BNC "tee"
connector on the scope input, and plug a 50 ohm load into the other port =
on the "tee".
Then I don't have to worry about ringing or echoes in the coax. The 50 =
ohm dummy
load should work just fine for this. With no load, the generator may =
show twice as
much output voltage compared to a matched load.

and probe and what all

Well, the simple approach is this: The 2215A is a 60 MHz scope, so a =
probe rated
for 100 MHz or more should do you fine.
Try for a P6105 (95 MHz) 15 pF, 10 Meg,
or a P6106 (200 MHz) 13 pF, 10 Meg,
Both are 10X probes.
