But the tuner in my K2 is fantastic so it might work.

But to the topic.......... I would go for KPA100.
( I know I will when the bucks is saved up.)
As for ssb I have used mine on digi and phone.
Without any mods to ksb2 I get very good reports.
OP1 set to slightly high pitch to get as close to my 706 as possible on tx.

Also I often find out that the stations I have problems to reach on 15 watts
I do have problems with 100 watts also.
Just now and then it make a difference and that may be 1 or 2 % of my qso's.

Another thing is.. Choosing between QRO or antennas.
Go for antennas first.
I bearly can't wait to hook my k2 to a 3 or 4 ele beam.
And 5 watts to USA on dipole has been done.

BTW.... LA has now permission to work also on 7100-7200khz with secondary
status 100watts max.
