[Elecraft] K2 QRO or Not?

G'day John,

Well, if your want SSB and 100W then that is the route to go.  There are
some useful mods to the SSB module for extra gain, bandwidth and reduced
IMD.

I prefer the KPA100 in the EC-2 case with the KAT100.  That way I can keep
the QRP lid on the K2 chassis and the heat out.

Everywhere, with the exception of half a dozen countries, is 4000+km from
the Falklands, so I find the QRO option useful and you can always turn the
power down.  I rearly have "local" QSO's, that is within 1000km.

It is my only transceiver.  I do have a general coverage RX for out of
amateur bands listening (Lowe HF-225).  The combination suits me fine.
