I just ordered a KX1 and decided not to order the paddles--partly because of
some of the comments here about the feel and partly because I'm interested
in seeing if I can somehow homebrew some of my own (with the help of a
machinist friend). In fact, I'm kind of surprised that there aren't more
third-party Elecraft accessories.
