There IS a benefit in doing the alignment several times (bandpass filters
and CAL FIL primarily) - after operating the K2 for a while, you will
develop your personal preferences for filter bandwidth, sidetone pitch, etc.
And by planning to do that alignment several times, you will end up with a
K2 that better suits your needs and preferences.

Bottom line - it really doesn't matter a whole lot.
