Hi

On the 3 K1's I have built I change C31 and C67 to 1uf. This helps =
reduce the first dit blast in the ear

Kevin, that would be my first guess. I haven't noticed what you =
describe on my K1, but then I changed RF-C31 to 1 uF very shortly after =
building my K1 in late 2000. I think a .47 uF C31 might even be better. =
I don't know what the rationale is behind having such slow AGC action =
as is caused by the 2.2 uF in the stock design.

You might want to use the menu to turn off the AGC to see if that =
lends credibility to you diagnosis.
