My apologies to all I sent "5NN" to in the EQP, even though you may have
been 109.  That's what I programmed into my K2 keyer memory for
convenience' sake.

I haven't yet found a logging program that can copy the received RST, so
that's what my log shows"599" even though you may have sent me something
different.

The above is probably true for most others in contests.

So, ....... I agree that RST should not be a part of contest exchanges
because it is virtually meaninglass.  Sending/receiving/logging callsign,
name, QTH, rig and S/N is plenty to send/copy/log as it is.
