Let me rephrase .....
Might that be because that FT1000MP from V.I. just moved in a couple 
hundred cycles (hertz)
away with monster clicks that are impeding the copy of your **previously** 
599 signal.  Things like that can happen

And I probably would not change your RST.

But that's just a play on words, I guess.  RST's will never be perfect, 
will they.
